My email list only has 50 or 150 people on it. Is that enough to be effective?
Yes, start with what you have. Every successful email list was built one email at a time, and everyone starts with just one person. If you have 50 or 150 people, that’s your starting point - focus on growing it consistently from there. Use both online methods (website popups with incentives) and offline methods (fishbowl technique at shows) to add emails one at a time. The key is consistent pressure over time. Even adding 15 emails from a slow show is progress. Some artists double their list in a single event. Don’t get discouraged by a small list - focus on the next email, and the next, and keep building steadily.
