What if I get harsh criticism or lowball offers when I try to sell my art online?

You need thick skin. When you encounter trolls or people making insulting offers (like someone saying they wouldn’t pay $5 for your work), recognize that many are just bots or people looking to get a reaction. A simple tactic: if someone offers an absurdly low price, say ‘sure, come pick it up’ and give them a time — they almost always disappear. Don’t let these interactions discourage you. Remember that these people haven’t ruined art for you if you have thick skin, but you should call out behavior that could discourage other artists. Focus on real potential buyers and don’t let the noise stop you from marketing.
