How do I measure whether my attention-moving efforts are working?
Measure to the best of your ability - it won’t be perfect, and that’s okay. For example, if you sent an email encouraging people to follow you on Instagram and you got some new followers that day, you won’t know exactly which ones came from the email versus other sources, but document what you can. If you link from a Facebook post to a messaging platform, you can know exactly how many new subscribers you picked up. The key is doing just the slightest bit of documentation without making it burdensome. Go back to your calendar entry a couple days after executing and note what you think you got - plus 5, plus 7, plus 20, whatever. This gives you a sense of what techniques are working best so you can repeat the successful ones and drop what doesn’t work.
