What should I focus on when I'm just starting my art business today?

Focus on getting feedback on your art as quickly as possible by attempting to make sales. Remove every obstacle that prevents you from selling — you don’t need a logo, a business license, sales tax setup, or even a niche before you start. Get your work in front of people’s eyes and try to sell it. If something gets in the way of making that first sale, don’t work on it yet. The quickest path to validation is your only priority at the start.
