What's a good call-to-action for a reel, and how do I use it effectively?

A simple call-to-action like ‘Check out more in my bio’ or ‘Link in bio for prints’ is perfectly appropriate. However, music choice, video length, and visual presentation also affect engagement. Use songs people recognize or connect with—music sets the tone and can stop someone mid-scroll. Keep reels concise; anything over 60 seconds is often too long for social media’s fast pace. Vary your opening images; don’t reuse the same photo repeatedly, as it makes your feed look repetitive. Ensure video clips fill the screen (zoom in on static images so they cover the entire frame) to maximize view time. The more screen space a viewer’s eyes have to scan, the longer they watch.
