What's the most important thing beyond technical skill for selling art?

People buy from people. You have to be a personality. It’s not just about being the most technically skilled artist or the most realistic painter. You have to get out there, meet people, and let them know you’re an artist. Being outgoing and building relationships is just as important as the art itself. Art sales are 50% the quality of the work and 50% whether the collector likes you, finds you interesting, or resonates with you as a person.
