Why should I keep marketing consistently even when I'm not seeing immediate sales?

You’re playing a very long game—you’ll likely be creating and selling artwork for decades. Customers you acquire today might not buy for three years or more, but they will buy if you stay engaged. One artist had a couple express interest, then heard nothing for three years. Because they stayed on her email list and she kept posting, they eventually purchased four pieces when their remodeling was complete. Never assume silence means disinterest. People forget you exist in the busy world if you don’t stay visible. Consistency in marketing ensures you’re present when customers are finally ready to buy, which could be years later when they remodel, downsize, buy a vacation home, or have other life changes.
