I shoot at horse shows and events. Will only the horse owners buy my photos, or is there a broader market?

There’s definitely a broader market beyond just the horse owners or performers you photograph. While those people will buy images for advertising their horses or promoting themselves, you can also sell to enthusiasts. For example, if you photograph famous riders or compelling equestrian moments, horse enthusiasts who aren’t the subjects will purchase those images. The same principle applies to any performance or event photography—the market isn’t limited to the people in the photos. However, to reach that broader market, you need a public portfolio on your website so potential buyers can discover and evaluate your work.
