Should I contact an account immediately after finding them, or should I wait?

Don’t propose on the first date. Nobody wants that person who follows an account today and sends a pitch the same day. Approach with respect. When you identify an account, follow it, subscribe, join the group, or opt into the newsletter. Study it a bit and hang around for a while. Learn something about the account or person that you could use when you contact them. Leave comments on posts, share content, look active and genuinely interested in what they’re doing. They’re going to look at your account and check you out when you message them, so it’s helpful to show you’re not just there to ask for something. After you’ve done that and some time has passed, then you’re ready to send your message.
