Ideally, announce and run the giveaway on or just before the special day or event to maximize relevance and engagement. However, if you’ve already posted about an event that’s passed, you can still leverage it by creating a follow-up post expressing gratitude for the response you received. Say something like ‘I was so happy to see the response you had to my previous post. I wanted to thank you for your support because you have no idea how much it means to me. So I’m doing a giveaway…’ You can even comment on the original popular post, pin that comment to the top, and direct people to your new giveaway announcement and the link in your bio.
