I mostly create square format artwork. Should I switch to landscape or portrait orientation?

Square format is perfectly normal and accepted as an art format. There’s always a market for any size and format—square, landscape, portrait, even circles or triangles. The format you choose should be based on what you want to create and what feels right for your artistic vision, not on trying to guess market preferences. That said, there’s no harm in experimenting—you could create a few landscape or portrait pieces as a test to see if they resonate differently with your audience. But don’t feel pressured to change what’s working for you. Focus more on the quality and emotion of the work itself, and on marketing it effectively, rather than worrying about the shape.
