I've had a successful 20-year career as a commercial photographer with many awards and accomplishments. Now I want to sell fine art online. Can I leverage my existing reputation for quick success?

Even with decades of professional accomplishment, when you’re starting to sell fine art online, you’re essentially a startup in this new arena. The internet and online audiences don’t care about your previous credentials or awards—they simply don’t. You can’t flip on an audience like a light switch. Building an email list, social media following, and buyer base takes time and hard work, regardless of your past achievements. Your experience is valuable and will help you, but you still need to put in the years of effort to build an online presence and customer base from the ground up.
