How do I maintain relationships with clients from guided tours or workshops?

Stay in touch and keep those relationships active—they’re incredibly valuable. The guiding work you do is fundamentally a people business, and forming genuine connections with participants is one of the most rewarding aspects. Maintain your email list and continue communicating with past participants. These relationships can extend for years; people you guided a decade or two ago can still be engaged supporters of your work. When you have notable achievements or media appearances, you’ll often hear from people you haven’t guided in years who are excited to see your success. These folks already know you, trust you, and have shared memorable experiences with you, making them much more likely to support your photography business by purchasing prints and telling others about your work.
