Everybody needs a mentor, no matter how successful they are. Even the greatest performers and athletes have coaches. Get with smart people who can guide you, give you honest feedback, and help you improve. Having experienced mentors can show you the ropes, hold your hand through difficult processes, and help you avoid costly mistakes. Don’t try to figure everything out alone—seek out people who have been where you want to go.
