If I want to offer a product type not available through my print vendor, how do I handle that?
You can offer products you fulfill yourself, separate from print-on-demand items. Set up that product as a “self-fulfilled” item: when someone orders it, you receive a notification (not an automatic fulfillment), then you place the order with your chosen vendor, and ship it to the customer yourself. This lets you expand your product offerings beyond what your primary vendor provides—specialty framing, deckled-edge prints, original paintings, custom items, etc. The order still goes through your website and you still collect payment, but you handle the logistics manually. Make sure to set accurate pricing that covers your costs and time, and communicate realistic shipping times to the customer. This hybrid model (some products auto-fulfilled, some self-fulfilled) gives you flexibility and control.
