What price ranges sell well online for art?

This question is based on a false assumption that the online art market is somehow different from the offline market with different price conventions. The truth is that all price ranges sell online, from open editions to limited editions to original paintings priced at $20,000-$30,000 or more. The online market is simply the offline market in digital form—the same products that sell offline sell online. Major auction houses are selling pieces for $1.8 million and higher through online bidding. Tesla sells $100,000 cars exclusively online and is now the most valuable automobile company in history. There is no magic price point. The assumption that you need to create work at a specific ‘hot selling price point’ to be successful is erroneous. What matters is having the right marketing strategy and building your audience, not trying to game some imaginary ideal price range for online sales.
