How should I use QR codes at art shows?
QR codes are now widely understood and used—COVID trained everyone to use them at restaurants, and now young and old alike know how to scan them with their phones without any special app. Leverage them creatively in your booth. The only mandatory one: have a QR code on the outside of your booth, because people can scan from a distance. You can use QR codes to let people enter your giveaway, get on your email list, or go directly to your website. Consider putting them on all four outside walls of your booth. The idea is people can get information self-serve. Someone might not want to come into your booth or talk to you—they’re enjoying their beer—but they’re bored and see ‘scan code to enter to win,’ so they pull out their phone, scan, enter their email, and now you’ve captured a lead you never would have gotten. You can also put QR codes under every piece so people can see it on your website. Put them on anything printed—anytime people access your marketing message without a cell phone, it should have a QR code.
