What should I do when installing art at a customer's home?

Always bring extra pieces beyond what the customer ordered. Walk in with 2-3 additional artworks and frame it as a fun service you provide: ‘This is just something I do when I’m here—everybody likes to see what their house looks like refreshed. Want me to hang a couple other pieces to see how they look?’ This creates a natural upsell opportunity because customers almost never have new art walk through their door that they can preview in their actual space. Don’t announce this in advance—just show up with the extra work. This approach can turn a single print sale into a multi-piece installation. Additionally, installing in person allows you to gather valuable information about their taste and other rooms that might need art.
