What's more important than the actual marketing advice—what really makes artists succeed?
Motivation and accountability. The education piece isn’t the secret sauce—what really matters is having someone push you, hold you accountable, occasionally harass you, sometimes even bribe you. It’s like having a trainer. Many artists know what they should do but need that external push to actually do it consistently. Sometimes you just need someone to say ‘Have you done that thing yet? No? Get off this call, go do it, and come back when it’s done.’ That accountability, going through the journey with a group of peers who understand the struggle, is what separates artists who succeed from those who stay stuck.
