Do I really need to be on both Facebook and Instagram if I prefer one over the other?

Yes, you need to be actively marketing on both Facebook and Instagram. They remain the two most dominant art-selling platforms in the world—really one platform now under Meta. These are where family photos, vacation pictures, and content people check daily lives. That’s why they get maximum attention and hours of daily usage. Don’t talk about Pinterest, TikTok, or Twitter until you’ve maxed out Facebook and Instagram. TikTok may give you millions of views, but it’s not selling art at the rate these two are. If you haven’t maxed out these two platforms, you’re wasting time elsewhere because it makes you feel good, not because you’re growing serious business. The data supports this: the number of hours per day people spend on Facebook and Instagram is insane. You may have personal issues with these platforms, but they’re essential for doing business successfully. Until another platform actually starts taking over that daily attention, these remain the dominant players.
