Should I be worried about AI replacing artists and creative professionals?

AI is a tool, not a replacement for human creativity—and it’s creating more opportunities than it’s eliminating. The film industry, for example, currently has more job postings for AI-skilled artists than qualified applicants, similar to how the early internet era desperately needed people who could code. As AI tools become ubiquitous, everyone will have access to perfect copy and polished output—which means that baseline capability becomes commoditized. What will stand out again is the human element: creativity, vision, and the unique perspective of the person operating the AI. The better AI gets at handling technical execution, the more valuable your creative direction becomes. Someone still needs to drive the car, even if it’s a very fast, very smart car. Focus on developing your creative vision and learning to use AI as a force multiplier for that vision.
