Do I need high-resolution photos of all my artwork to start selling online?

No, not to start out with. It’s really easy to get artwork photographed professionally in today’s day and age. Post on Craigslist looking for a photographer with experience photographing art for reproduction. Wait 24 hours and you’ll probably have hundreds of responses. Look for someone who has worked with other artists, call those references, and you’ll typically pay $25-$45 per piece to have it all photographed in one day. Professional photography is important for print-on-demand and online sales, but it’s accessible and shouldn’t be a barrier to getting started.
