What should an artist's website look like?
Your website should mimic an art gallery experience: total minimalism with monochromatic walls, art front and center, a little information about the art, and nothing else. No distractions, no busy designs, no walls of text, no excessive colors or moving elements. Artists often think the website should be a beautiful canvas showcasing their creative skills, but this is completely wrong. The paradigm for how art is viewed and purchased—whether in a museum or gallery, regardless of culture or country—is utter minimalism. Your website must follow this same paradigm. The art should be what people see, not your design skills.
