How long will I realistically be creating and selling art?

Understand that your creative gifting never turns off. People in their 80s, 90s, even over 100 years old still attend these sessions asking how to get their art seen and sold. You will be creating for the rest of your life—potentially 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, even 80 more years. The creative drive doesn’t retire. This means you should make business decisions with a long-term lens, not just focusing on the next 6 months or year. Every artist who started late wishes they had begun earlier and kept their collector list from the beginning.
