What should I post on social media besides my art?
Post content that shows who you are as a person. Your art is the commercials, but nobody tunes in just to watch commercials—they need programming. The programming is you: what you’re interested in, your life, your personality, your humor, what makes you tick. Think about what someone would learn about you if they met you at a gallery opening or coffee shop—share that kind of content. Talk about the weather, your interests, things you’re passionate about that have nothing to do with art. This is how you build the know-like-trust factor that leads to sales. Painters love hiding behind the canvas and photographers behind the lens, but that doesn’t work anymore. You need to be visible and authentic.
