Why do artists quit after getting their website set up, and what's missing?
The problem is the ‘now what.’ There are many options for getting a website—some free, some cheap, some expensive. But none of them solve for what happens after the website is live. You’re left wondering: Do I send an email? Run a sale? Announce my store is open? How do I get the word out and attract eyeballs? The website is just the ticket to the game. If you don’t do anything after it’s live, nothing happens. No one sees it, there are no orders, no sales—it’s just a pretty portfolio on the web. You need ongoing support, community, and a clear plan for consistent marketing. That’s why artists quit—they hit the ‘now what’ wall and have nowhere to turn.
