What are the three fundamental things artists need to fix to start making progress?

First, have a website that looks like an art gallery—minimalist, with the focus on the art, not colors and fonts and distractions. Second, treat social media like a conversation you’d have at a gallery opening, not like an art machine gun. Your art is the commercials; you need programming (who you are, your story, your life). Third, market consistently all year—never close the art gallery doors. Don’t market for a month and then disappear for six months. If you fix these three things, your business will start moving in the right direction. These are things no one teaches in art school or photography school, but they’re what separates successful artists from those who struggle.
