Why am I failing at social media even though I post my art regularly?

You’re treating social media like a belt-fed machine gun — art, art, art, process, art on the wall, buy my art. You would never do that at a gallery opening. If you met someone in person, you’d have a conversation, learn about each other, talk about where you’re from, your interests, then maybe discuss the art. The algorithm isn’t rigged against you; it’s simply asking: are you interesting? Your art alone isn’t interesting enough. Art sales are 50% the quality of the work and 50% who you are as a person. People buy from people they know, like, and trust. Your art is the commercials — nobody tunes in just to watch commercials. You need to create ‘programming’ by sharing who you are.
