Do I need to focus on just one revenue stream or sales channel?

There’s no one path that works for everyone. The customer base is incredibly diverse: some artists sell primarily through galleries, some own their own galleries (which is a trend that’s working very well), some are road warriors doing 3 to 5 or even 30 shows a year, some sell mostly direct, some sell only originals, some sell originals plus prints and merchandise, some use third-party printing, some do their own printing. Any combination is available to you. There’s never been a legal revenue source that isn’t worth pursuing. Your job is to figure out the best ways to monetize your creative talent, and you can do any of it, some of it, or anything in between.
