How should I price my art? I've seen formulas like $3-$8 per square inch, but do these really work?

The pricing formulas you see (like price per square inch) are complete nonsense. Ultimately, at the end of the day, the formula is: how much is someone willing to pay for it? That’s it. Price is determined by market demand and emotional connection, not by mathematical formulas. If you’re selling known artists with provenance, that’s one thing, but for most work, you need to test the market and see what buyers will actually pay.
